Welcome to Dear Elly, the IcyBrian.com advice/questions column. Here
you can ask just about anything, whether it be about a relationship, sex,
politics, work, Buffy, you name it. But before you read any further, be warned
that this section contains vulgarity and many, many sexual references (duh...
it's hosted by SweetElly.) So
if you're offended by those things, well, go away. And if you're a parent
whose 13 year old has stumbled upon this area of the site, don't email me
complaining about it. Instead, try actually paying attention to your child's
activities and, I don't know, talking to them about their interests. Remember,
the computer isn't a babysitter.
Send your questions to
dearelly@icybrian.com. You can
ask about anything you want, but be prepared for anything in response. The
questions will be answered by Elly and a few of the other people on staff.
If you want a certain person to respond, you can request it. Also, you can
choose from one of these pictures to go next to
your question. This section will be updated more often than the rest of the
site (so updates to it won't always be posted on the main page.)
Let's meet the staff, shall we?
SweetElly

|
The original Micronesian sex goddess, SweetElly takes time to field questions
when she isn't in the middle of one of her sex romps or running from the
forces of the evil Juan Cerda. She likes long walks on the beach, mithrildos,
role playing, and circumsex. Her dislikes include Juan Cerda, Slicer Dogma,
and semicolons. |
Asyria Nightshade
 |
Fledgling writer and composer. Helpful in areas of love, sex, depression,
and stress problems. Asyria just LOVES to put her two cents in about almost
anything. She is rational but supportive. She also has no tact whatsoever. |
Average Joe
 |
Writer, artist, philosopher, mathemagician, listener, and all-around
nice guy. The one you'd seek out if you had problems in Algebra or Geometry,
or if you just needed a shoulder to cry on. He knows a lot more than he thinks
he does and probably a lot less than you think he does. |
Human
 |
Human is an aspiring writer/actor (*sigh* isn't everyone?) who has a
profoundly pathetic knowledge on subjects such as television, movies, and
law. He's fairly well versed in geekery, and is able to coexsist with other,
saner people quite well. He'd like to think of himself as a good judge of
character, and at least quasi-fluent in the language of common sense. |
Icy Brian
 |
Your friendly neighborhood webmaster, Brian is an independent filmmaker
who has some knowledge in most areas. His areas of expertise are love,
relationships, anything acting/movie/TV/music related, politics, and lots
of other trivial things that will never help him in the real world. Brian
will try to help you when he can, and be sarcastic when he can't. |
Krazy Sam
 |
The resident heathen and former foreigner, Sam's semi-versed in topics
such as drawing, interacting with people, slacking off, and coping with
incredibly stressful situations. While naïve, Sam DOES possess a micron
of common sense, and is resourceful when she needs to be. Skills include
being cheerful, wasting time, and fixing laptops with ticky-tack. When she
grows up, she wants to be a starving comic book artist. |
Nightsong
 |
An overly-opinionated writer and musician with a knack for, well...
something, Night spends most of his time deep in training to become the ultimate
slacker. His areas of expertise include writing, anything to do with the
music world, and various bits of philosophical gibberish that only he cares
about. |
TheatreCat
 |
TC is a neophyte actress, singer, writer, artist, biologist... (pretty much
anything you'd expect out of someone with "theatre" and "cat" in her handle)
who enjoys her constant walk on the dotted line between genius and insanity.
She's fairly well versed in the ways of mankind, common sense, empathy, making
a fool of herself, and life as we know it -- everything else, she knows how
to look up -- and will more often than not do whatever she can to help those
in need. |
WanderingProphet
 |
Geek, sociopath, and psychologist in one, WP's bluntness and sarcasm
may seem slightly shocking at first. However, he feels that honesty is what
is in order to resolve a conflict, whether it be on a personal or social
level. While having plenty of mental issues of his own, he finds relief in
helping others with their problems. |
Wizard Slayer
 |
Genial, fedora-wearing beardy-man. Practices 'Rational Romanticism' and
is always willing to invest WAY more into a project than it is actually worth.
'Athough you may choose to live halfway, you won't live twice as long.' |
