Princess Toadstool

Princess Toadstool

Weapons

Gold Dot Slap Glove- The game description for the Slap Glove says ‘It slaps 'em silly'. Princess Toadstool slaps her enemy twice. If you correctly do the timed hit, she will slap the enemy even harder for a third time. This is the weapon that the Princess starts with. The Glove has an attack rating of 40.

Gold Dot Parasol- The game description of Princess Toadstool's Parasol says ‘Inflicts serious pain!'. The Princess swings her umbrella down on the enemy's head. If you do the timed hit correctly, she will also open the umbrella and inflict more damage. This is the first of the Princess' fan attacks. The Parasol has an attack rating of 50 and can be purchased at the Seaside Town Weapon and Armor Shop for 84 Coins.

Gold Dot War Fan- ‘A mysterious battle fan!' is what the game description says about Princess Toadstool's War Fan. The Princess swings her fan down on the enemy's head. If you get the timed hit correctly, she will also swing her fan across the enemy's face. This is the second fan attack that the Princess can get. The War Fan has an attack rating of 60 and can be purchased at the Nimbus Land Item Shop for 100 Coins.

Gold Dot Super Slap- The game description for Princess Toadstool's Super Slap says ‘The Princess' mega-slap!'. Princess Toadstool slaps her enemy twice. If you do the timed hit correctly, she will slap the enemy even harder for a third time. This is the second slap attack that the Princess can get in the game. The Super Slap has an attack rating of 70 and can be found in Bowser's Keep, behind the door leading to the Invisible Floor Room.

Gold Dot Frying Pan- The game description for the Frying Pan says ‘Enough iron to be dangerous!'. The Princess swings a large frying pan down on the enemy's head. If you do the timed hit correctly, she will swing the pan down on the enemy's head again. This is the strongest weapon that the Princess can get in the entire game. The Frying Pan has an attack rating of 90 and can be purchased at the Moleville Item Shop. The shop sells it as the Metal Pan for 300 Coins. When Princess Toadstool equips the Metal Pan it becomes the Frying Pan.

Timed Hits

Gold Dot Timing a Slap Attack- To perform a Timed Slap Attack, press the A Button just before the Princess slaps the enemy. The Princess can do this when equipped with no weapon, the Slap Glove or the Super Slap.

Gold Dot Timing a Fan Attack- To time a Fan Attack, press the A Button just before the Princess swings the Parasol, War Fan or Frying Pan at the enemy.

Armor

The armor below is listed in order of weakest to strongest.

Gold Dot Work Pants- These can be purchased at the Rose Town Item Shop and the Seaside Town Weapons and Armor Shop for 22 coins. They increase your Speed, Attack and Magic Defense by five points, your Attack and Magic Attack by 10 points, and your Defense by 15 points.

Gold Dot Polka Dress- This is what the Princess has equipped when she joins your party. It increases Defense by 24 points and Magic Defense by 12 points.

Gold Dot Nautica Dress- This can be purchased at the Seaside Town Weapons and Armor Shop, Sea Item Shop, and the Sunken Ship Salesman for 50 coins. It increases Defense by 30 points and Magic Defense by 15 points.

Gold Dot Fuzzy Dress- This can be purchased at the Nimbus Land Item Shop for 70 coins. It increases Defense by 36 and Magic Defense by 18 points.

Gold Dot Fire Dress- This can be purchased at the Hino Mart in the Barrel Volcano and from Croco in Bowser's Keep for 90 coins. It increases Defense by 42 points and Magic Defense by 21 points.

Gold Dot Royal Dress- This can be purchased from Croco in his second Bowser's Keep location for 100 coins. It increases Defense by 48 points and Magic Defense by 24 points.

Gold Dot Super Suit- Perhaps the most mysterious item in Super Mario RPG, the Super Jacket is also the hardest item to get! It will be given to you in Monstro Town if you succeed in doing 100 Super Jumps in a battle. (Use Mario's Super Jump Attack on an enemy, then press the Y Button just before hitting the opponent to hop on his head again. Do this 100 times WITHOUT falling off. Good luck!) Everyone can equip the Super Jacket. It increases Speed by 30 points, and Attack, Defense, Magic Attack, and Magic Defense by 50 points.

Gold Dot Lazy Shell- The Lazy Shell Armor can be found in the clouds after giving the Gardener in Rose Town the Seed and Fertilizer. Climb the vine the Gardener grows to locate the Treasure Box with the Lazy Shell Armor. The Lazy Shell Armor can be equipped by everyone, but it's a trade-off -- you lose speed and attack power for superior defensive strength. It reduces Speed, Attack and Magic Attack by 50 points each, but increases Defense and Magic Defense by a whopping 127 points each.

Special Attacks

Gold Dot Therapy- Therapy recovers one friend's Hit Points and status. Princess Toadstool will already have Therapy when she joins your party. It uses two Flower Points and has a Magic Power rating of 40.

Gold Dot Group Hug- Princess Toadstool's Group Hug recovers status and some Hit Points for your entire party. (Isn't she nice?) Group Hug uses four Flower Points and has a Magic Power rating of 30.

Gold Dot Sleepy Time- Sleepy Time will put enemies down for a nap. It uses four Flower Points and is learned at Level 11.

Gold Dot Come Back- The Princess's Come Back ability can revive a defeated friend in battle. Very handy! It uses two Flower Points and is learned at Level 13.

Gold Dot Mute- Mute prevents enemies from using their own Special Attacks. Mute won't always work, especially on strong enemies and bosses. The Princess learns Mute at Level 15, and it uses three Flower Points.

Gold Dot Psych Bomb- Psych Bomb is Princess Toadstool's strongest attack. It uses 15 Flower Points and is learned at Level 18. Psych Bomb has a Magic Power rating of 60.
