Here's a list of secrets in Suikoden. If you find one that isn't here, please let me know. If you haven't beaten the game yet, keep in mind that there are some spoilers.

Money Trick

This is a REALLY good code for LOTS of bits go to Marco (the person you meet in Rockland at the start with the cup game) get 20,000 bits and bet 10,000 bits. Pick any cup, ANY cup then remember the cup that held the coin then quit and then play again. Bet 10,000 bits and pick the cup that had the coin the last time and YOU WIN! You can do this over and over just don't leave the town or you'll have to find the next cup with the coin and do it again. You can find the pattern up to a fairly high number while betting 100 bits, and then use that same pattern again with 10,000 bits. You can't do this later when Marco joins your party.

Another Money Trick

When playing Gaspar's game, the more luck you have in your party, the more chance you have of winning, so if you need money get all your characters with high luck in your party and then play the game.

100 Bits Early

First off, when you start the game in the Emperors palace, don't talk to your father, instead walk down the stairs, and into the room next to Kraze's office, the one with two suits of armour in it, go up to them and examine them (button X) the first one says "shiny armour", when you examine the furthest one from the door, it says "shiny armour... But wait... Found 100 bits" you get the bits.

Recharge Multi-Use Items

The following items have multiple uses: Medicine, Antitoxin, Needle, and Mega Medicine. As long as you have at least one use left, you can "recharge" them. Simply deposit the item into Rock's vault and withdraw it. The item's original number of uses will be restored.

Binoculars

The binoculars are obtained by recruiting Ivanov (found in Scarletia), and giving him all of the different colored paints that he needs for his mural. Once it is complete, he will thank you by giving you the party item "binoculars." At any time in a normal battle, use the second controller to manipulate the camera angle. Below are pics of the angles for the Triangle, Square, Circle, and X Buttons, as well as when it is in neutral.

Triangle-triangle   Square-Square

Circle-Circle   X-X

Neutral-Neutral

Special Scenes in Sansuke's Sauna

Special Scenes may be found when taking a bath in Sansuke's Sauna if you have the proper antiques. Don't stay in too long or your party will turn red!

• 6 Hex Dolls
• 6 Hex Dolls & 2 Grafittis
• 6 Persian Lamps
• 6 Flower Urns, 1 Landscape Painting, & 1 Nature Painting
• 1 Peeing Boy- Peeing Boy must be in upper right spot, & there must be at least one other male character in your party (other than the Hero) to sit under it.

More Hidden Scenes

• Take Clive to Rockland and take a look at the tombstone in the back-left.
• Take Meg to Lenankamp, and go to the first house on the left.
• Take Krin to the second floor of the inn in Lenankamp, and talk to the man in the far right corner.
• Have Flik in your party and go to the Warrior's Village, and talk to the guy next to the building in the top-right corner.
• If you don't have enough money (200 bits) to pay for Vincent de Boule's meal in Antei when you're about to go to the Dragon's Den, the Hero, Flik, and Humphrey have to wash the owner's dishes. If you have more than 200 bits, just lose it all to Gaspar first.

Get Fortune Rune Early

At the very beginning of the game, (before meeting Ted) go out and build up your levels. Now, you have to be strong enough to travel past Mt. Tigerwolf. You must make it past Tigerwolf and go to Sarady. While there, you have to talk to a man in one of the houses. He will give you a Fortune Rune as a reward for the courage of coming all the way there by yourself. You can get either the Fortune Rune or Prosperity Rune, but not both, so choose wisely.

Get Prosperity Rune Early

At the very beginning of the game, the first time you talk to Ted he will join your party. Don't go into "young masters" room. Instead, go out and build up your levels. Now, you and Ted have to be strong enough to travel past Mt. Tigerwolf. You must make it past Tigerwolf and go to Sarady. While there, you have to talk to a man in one of the houses. He will give you a Prosperity Rune as a reward for the courage of coming all the way there using only you and Ted.

Defeat Teo With Pahn

I'm not sure why so many people have trouble with this. When you face Teo, try to have Pahn around level 35. The main trick is to just Defend every round. When Teo does a Desperate Attack, Pahn will dodge out of the way and counter-attack. You should beat him without much trouble this way. This trick works in all the other Duels as well.

Resurrect Your Fallen Friend

There is a way to bring back your friend who was killed by Milich (I won't give his name here so as to not spoil it for anyone who hasn't gotten to that point yet.) If you have ALL of the remaining 108 Stars at the time of the final full-scale battle, Leknaat will appear and save your friend from his fate.

Read Characters' Diaries

At the very beginning of the game, when you're in Gregminster, go into your house. Go into Cleo's room. She has a bureau with books on it. Go up to the books and press X. The message "Cleo's diary...locked", will come up. Then go into Pahn's room and do the same thing. His either says "Pahn's diary...locked", or he wrote the menu from last night's dinner (go figure). What his says really depends on when you read the diary, if you read it before you eat, it's locked. But if you read it after he eats, it has the menu. You can also go into Sonya Shulen's house ( next to Teo's house) and you can read her diary (it just says some stuff about Teo being gone). If you read the Hero's diary, you can save your game. I haven't tried to read anyone else's diary but when I get the chance I'll check it out.
