I have played the newer games like FF7, Suikoden, Breath of fire 3.....ect. They may have better graphics, but none have the ......feel... of Chrono Trigger. I do like RPGs, but I always thought Breath Of Fire 3 SUCKED. I got it the day it came out and, pshaw, is it bad. I played to the Lighthouse and then stopped. Wild Arms (which you don't cover) is a great game and should be listed. And Finally, Suikoden was disappointing because it lacked FMV, CG sequences, ANIME movies, and other things that take massive memory, yet its only a 15 hour game (with all characters). I think the amount of space on a CD (i believe 600mb) should have allowed a much larger game. But Suikoden 2 is comin' so who cares. --Syk0-- |

I too would absolutely love to see a sequel as well. Since this is highly unlikely to happen, I have accepted Xenogears as the unofficial sequel to chrono trigger. Although there are many major differences, I still feel that Xenogears is to the final fantasy series as chrono trigger was. I say this mainly because of the similarities in gameplay and that they are both made by squaresoft. If you have played Xenogears, you may have noticed that Lucca is present in the first town in the beginners hall (it is not really called that but for all intents and purposes the name works). Anyway, she will tell you how to save your game, and if you speak to her twice in a row she will say her name is Lucca. It is probably just a typical cameo appearance but it still makes you think. I have this crazy theory that the world of Xenogears is a parallel universe to that of Chrono Trigger's (even though the map is different among many other differences). The story in Xenogears may very well take place after the defeat of Lavo's in chrono trigger, somewhere in the future. Part of the backstory to Xenogears has parallels to the city of Zeal in that it was once a highly advanced civilization and that it fell from the sky and this is how the human race ended up on earth. However, in chrono trigger humans were around before the construction of zeal, the two stories are very similar (with the exception of gears which are not mentioned in chrono trigger). Those are my ideas, if a bit crazy. Anyway, I like your website because I am a fanatic squaresoft fan. I the internet at home, as I am using it from school which explains my lack of an e-mail address and my own website. Anyway, I like your page once I get a modem at home, I may visit it more often and maybe have time to read the fanfic. If you think my ideas about the parallels are intersting, please post them (or discuss them or something since I don't know much internet jargon) and maybe we can get some feedback on them. Maybe other people have the same thoughts on the subject. Even though I have not played much of xenogears yet, the thoughts mentioned just initially struck my mind. Perhaps later in the game my ideas may be disproven. Maybe I'm just crazy. Thanks. |

Why is this I have thim such as Omnislash, Highwind etc. Also I could not get the Diamond Weapon to appear for me to fight. Help I don't know what to do next. |
