Nihon Soba

Okay, here's a briefing. My fan-fiction pen name is Nihon Soba, though I regularly go by my real name whenever I write original works. Presently, I am 19 years old, and in about a year, will be 20. But who knows how old I’ll be by the time any of you read this… ah well. Since I am a college student and a part time worker, lately I have been falling very behind in my fan-fiction work. But lately I've taken two creative writing courses at college, and now I think I should get back on track. Chrono Trigger Fanfiction
Chrono Trigger: Dangerous Times- This is a piece of fan fiction that I started to write when I was in 8th grade, around 14 years of age. After a few paragraphs, I stopped the story, running into the ever-present writer’s block (plus I didn’t think I did a very good job). After a few years, I remembered about it and I decided that I would complete this story. This is just a short story telling the lives of Crono and Co. about 4 years after the destruction of Lavos. Actually, it’ll be more than that, I make up more as I go along. It isn’t very much, but I decided to continue writing it anyway. I hope ya like it! Oh yeah, I sorta borrowed that part about the statues of the characters from two stories by Samus ( who wrote “And They Must Guide You”). I hope she doesn’t mind...!

It has been 4 years since the fourteen year old boy named Crono and his friends have met and destroyed the infamous immortal, Lavos. His mother and cat(s) were rescued after running through the last time portal. The kingdom of Guardia has prospered and flourished, and Crono’s home village of Truce has expanded its borders wide, past Guardia forest and the remnants of Yakra’s cathedral. The ferry between Truce and Medina village was long since completed. Things are seeming to finally get back to normal. But time flows like a river... and peace is only a foreboder of what is to come...

Chrono Trigger: Time of Illusion- The events have been set into motion, and now are taking place. The companions find themselves all being drawn to the same place, whether it be fate or not is unknown. Magus was the only one to find out exactly what was going on, and now is gathering more information trying to find out what to do. The others are experiencing the events, all on their own: Crono, Lucca, and Marle find themselves in an unknown land; Glenn finds himself throwninto a time portal by a Nu; Ayla decides to find out for herself what is going on; and Robo is off investigating spacial anomalies, apparently linked to the strange events. What is to happen, and what was happening eons ago in the past, is still unknown. But it will all be revealed as the companions gradually converge into the same place and learn the truth about the Nu, Lavos, and gates... it is a Time of Illusion.

Glass no Kamen: The Legend of Shadow- I have decided to make a fanfic about my favorite character from FInal Fantasy VI. The one who instantly captured my attention the moment I met him. Dark, mysterious, a loner. The silent ninja, Shadow. As you know, several of our questions about Shadow have been answered in the game. But what of how he came to be, more of his past life? His connection with Relm Arrowny and the village of Thamasa? Of his late partner, Berem? I intent to answer those questions, keeping in accordance with the facts, with this piece of fan fiction. The significance of the title will be explained later as the story progresses (or if you really want to know the meaning now, ask someone fluent in Japanese). So without further adue, here it is!
